The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by President Duane Maguire.
 
Motion Prusi second Eurich to accept the August 2, 2010 regular meeting minutes as printed.     Carried. 
 
Michigan Bean Festival President, Gayle Sleight, stated that Liberty Street from M-138 to McLuney Street and Otis Street need to be closed Saturday September 4, 2010 from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. and Sunday September 5, 2010 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. to allow for parking. The clerk informed the council that the proper procedure for street closures was for the Police Chief to issue a Traffic Control Order.
 
Police Committee Chair Hall stated that the committee is working on Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for the department.
 
Correspondence was received from Tuscola County EDC thanking the village for its budget allocation and Tuscola County Planning Commission suggesting that the medical marijuana issue be addressed in local zoning ordinances.
 
Motion Prusi second Hall to pay bills of approximately $9,039.11.    Carried.
