ORDINANCE NO. 18
MINOR POSSESSION
THE VILLAGE OF FAIRGROVE ORDAINS:
Sec. 1. Possession or Transportation
No person under the age of 21 years shall purchase or knowingly possess or transport any alcoholic liquor, or knowingly possess, transport, or have under his control in any motor vehicle any alcoholic liquor unless said person is employed by a licensee under Act No. 8 of The Public Acts of 1933, extrasession, as amended, and is possessing, transporting or having such alcoholic liquor.
Sec. 2. Conviction
Every person convicted of a violation of this ordinance shall be punished by a fine of not more than $100.00 or by imprisonment for not more than 90 days or by both such fine and imprisonment.
Sec. 3. Notice to Be Published
The Village Clerk shall publish this ordinance in the manner required by law.
Sec. 4. Effective
This ordinance shall be in effect 20 days after passage.
